The Waves Beach Chalets, Tangalle
As its name suggests, the only sound that surrounds you is the sound of waves gently lapping at the seashore interspersed by birdcalls. It is an oasis of calm in a remote yet easily accessible location in Tangalle on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. The 200 km drive from Colombo takes you around two and half hours via the southern expressway. The entire two-acre property is shaded by natural vegetation with an idyllic palm fringed beach on one border and the pristinely beautiful and tranquil lagoon with its mangroves on the other.
